Alex Chelleri Heads Up Pro-Bel Asia Pacific
Stand 7/P5-01, BroadcastAsia, Singapore – 20th June 2006: Pro-Bel, the premier manufacturer of routing switchers, signal processing, master control, automation and control and monitoring technologies, announced today that Alex Chelleri has been appointed as President, Pro-Bel Asia Pacific. Chelleri joins Pro-Bel with over twenty years of experience in the broadcast, film and video industry, and has lived and worked for the last twelve years in the Asian region.
“The Asia Pacific region is experiencing considerable growth, with an accelerated level of business opportunities at the moment,” explained Chelleri. He continued, “Pro-Bel’s product offering has never been stronger or more competitive and I’m extremely proud and excited to be heading up the new Pro-Bel Asia office at this time.”
Chelleri joins Pro-Bel from Quantel where he was originally recruited as Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific. Promoted to Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific region, Chelleri established sales channels, dealers and resellers throughout the region, concentrating on South East Asia, Indochina and then the China market - assisting the newly-opened Beijing office. Prior to Quantel, Chelleri was Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific with Leitch, Managing Director for the Asian office for Scitex Digital Vision (which was acquired by Accom) and Regional Sales Manager Asia Pacific-Post Production with Dynatech Corporation.
By installing a dedicated sales and support office in Hong Kong, Pro-Bel now has committed operations in every major region of the world. Pro-Bel Asia is the latest milestone in the evolution of the company since the UK management’s team MBO in 2003. Pro-Bel acquired infrastructure company Vistek last year (2005), has restructured its US operations and promoted Neil Maycock to be President, Pro-Bel Inc, and at NAB, announced its intention to undertake an IPO (Initial Public Offering) later this year.
