Reading, UK – 14th February 2006: Pro-Bel, the premier manufacturer and supplier of routing switchers, signal processing, master control, automation and workflow technologies, announced today that TVE has extended its relationship with the company by purchasing and installing additional routing and control technology. The deal has been handled by Pro-Bel’s Spanish partner Unitecnic.
TVE, the state-owned broadcaster with a history extending back into the 1950s, has three main production centres. Two are based in Madrid (Prado del Rey and Torrespanã) with the third – the San Cugat Centre – based in Barcelona. The broadcaster also has 17 regional centres around Spain.
When it came to expanding the San Cugat Centre, with the construction of studios five and six, TVE once again turned to Pro-Bel to provide the core routing infrastructure. The broadcaster has installed a Sirius SD 128 x 128 and a Sirius AES 128 x 128. TVE is also using Pro-Bel’s flexible Aurora router control system. This technology joins a long list of already-deployed Pro-Bel solutions at the San Cugat Centre.
