Housed in a 2RU rack mount package, the V1602 expands on the facilities of its smaller sister, The 1RU V1605. Significantly larger displays provide easy to read data, while a set of LCD buttons make function selection simple. Like all Vistek control systems, the V1602 is fully user configurable. VVC (Vistek Virtual Control) allows the panel to control any mix of V1600 series modules, with the capacity to create virtual controls across multiple modules. In addition the LCD buttons allow multiple control selection - permitting ‘ganged’ controls. Multiple levels of password protected user access are supported, and each panel can be configured to suit specific requirements. All relevant data can be stored on a front panel removable PC card. In addition, ports are provided for access by external PCs for both control and configuration.
The V6021 Extension Control Panel gives additional operator control to users of the V1602 Control Panel. It provides 12 rotary controls, which can be assigned in any configuration to the control of variable parameters. The assignment is linked to the settings on the V1602, and LEDs indicate which controls are active at any given time.
The V1605 is a 1RU control panel for remote control and monitoring of V1600 series racks and modules via DARTnet. Multiple panels can be coupled to a single DARTnet. Each panel can access up to 4 DARTnets. The unit is intended for use in operational and engineering areas such as outside broadcast vehicles where rack space is at a premium. Front panel controls are separated into two sections. One section provides display, access and selection of racks and modules on the network (s). The other provides display and control of status indicators and adjustments on the selected module. Dedicated switches allow ‘single press’ recall of up to eight pre-selected modules for instant control access. A front panel LED, internal buzzer and rear panel ‘contact closure’ are provided for network alarm indication. The left-hand LCD shows the top-level network access and control window. Many more functions, including network and node titling, can be accessed by scrolling through this menu. Pressing Module Selection reveals a sub-menu providing details and location of the module whose control window is displayed in the right-hand LCD. Additional control and status parameters for this module can be accessed/displayed by scrolling the menu. With the Module Selection window open, the left hand LCD always displays the network (and rack) location of the module displayed in the right-hand LCD. Virtual control allows users to set up individual panels to suit specific requirements. Each panel has a removable PC card which stores the configuration of the panel. PC cards can be easily programmed from virtually any laptop PC, and any number of PC cards can be used on the system.
